British Polo Day with Billionaire Magazine.

01.07.2014

The chinos and loafers came out on Saturday for the British Polo Day in Henley-on-Thames. The day started in usual English summer fashion by the heavens opening up, but good fortune was shining on the polo goers as shortly after arriving at the Black Bears polo club the sun came out.
For those that aren't aware British Polo Day is a celebration of British luxury and heritage in a polo events network that spans the World.
British Polo Days are held regularly in Abu Dhabi, China, Russia, Germany, France, Singapore, Thailand , Mexico, India and of course, Great Britain. Expect to see BPD in Australia, South Africa, Brazil, South Korea and America soon.
The story of British Polo Day is a call to action by a young dynamic team keen to ensure that Britain projects its values and identity in an increasingly overcrowded international space. The Founders chose polo as the vehicle to do this, they recognised the horse as an international language capable of bridging cultures. At the same time of sharing the British culture with others, they also raise money for various good causes with auctions held at each event.
As guests of one of our favourite luxury publications Billionaire, we enjoyed fabulous food and drink before watching some great action on the polo field. With the sun setting on Black Bears, the victorious teams look their place on the podium for the British Polo Day prizegiving.
A great day all round and if anyone is yet to experience Polo i highly recommend it.
