Greubel Forsey 10th anniversary day at Marcus

11.07.2014

Greubel Forsey, the high-end luxury watch maker specialising in the complex tourbillon movement, celebrate their 10th anniversary this year. We marked the occasion in traditional Marcus style with a very British tea party in the boutique, with Stephen Forsey and selected guests.

Producing only 100 or so watches a year, the brand has come a long way in ten years. Their debut was at the 2004 BaselWorld Fair where they launched a tourbillon like no other - the 30 degree double tourbillon. Since then they have produced an ultra-fast 24 second tourbillon as well as a Quadruple tourbillon, and ventured into the world of GMTs with a rotating three dimensional globe which gives the user a real perspective of world time.

Last year they entered the art world with the aptly named Art Piece One in conjunction with micro sculptor Willard Wigan, and this their anniversary year saw the launch of the brand new Quantième Perpétuel à Équation at this year’s SIHH watch fair.

It is fair to say that this watch brand has achieved a great deal in their first ten years, and we at Marcus can’t wait to see what the next ten bring.
