Greubel Forsey Training Day

Greubel Forsey Training Day

24.04.2014

One half of Greuble Forsey came to visit the Marcus boutique recently. Stephen Forsey took time out of his travels to spend a day with the staff to teach us more about the different creations that have come from this prestigious brand and the benefits of their tourbillons.

Stephen talked about their famous Double Tourbillon 30º which still holds the highest score in the Concours International de Chronométrie. This is competition where brands can send in watches for a accuracy test which lasts 15 days, each stage is marked and a final score out of 1000 is given. Previously the title was held by Jaeger-LeCoultre with their beautiful Master Tourbillon with a score of 909 in 2009. In 2011 the next year of competition Grebuel Forsey entered the Double Tourbillon 30º Technique, a movement which uses two tourbillon cages mounted at a 30º angle. 15 days later it was announced there was a new winner with 915 points, and Greubel Forsey were victorious.

It was a great day for the staff to learn, and very gracious of Stephen gives up his time to come in and train directly, which in turn enable our staff to have a high level of watch knowledge to pass on to our clients and friends. We also for the first time held a live Q&A through our social media where followers and collectors alike could post their questions to Stephen which was a great success.
