Marcus & Hublot

In the winter of 2004, I was talking to Marcus at home with my wife about my plan to invest in Hublot and turn the company around. He immediately grasped what an enormous opportunity Hublot could offer us. Marcus already saw that making fun watches for St Tropez, St Moritz, St Barth and other locations was a provocative and original concept. He understood that we could also match the watches with the colour of anoraks or the colour of bikinis. That evening, I was looking at a friend, an adviser and the person who really understood me. At the table, with his enthusiasm and our shared madness, we had already designed the new Hublot collection, even though I had yet to meet the CEO and owner of Hublot. Once again, Marcus was the friend who understood me and immediately offered me his support.

I owe Marcus a great deal as his professional support, his product vision, his understanding of our customers and his friendship have been crucial to my career and the success of my brands. I have two little words for him, therefore: congratulations and thanks! Congratulations on your vision, your courage and on understanding what customers want.
